Population
Panorama has seen population growth performance typically on par with national averages when looking at short and medium term trends
Panorama's population, as of November 2025, is approximately 9,078 people. This figure represents an increase from the 2021 Census, which reported a population of 8,475 people. The growth of 603 individuals (7.1%) since the census is inferred from ABS's estimated resident population of 8,987 in June 2024 and the addition of 66 validated new addresses since then. This results in a population density ratio of 1,581 persons per square kilometer, higher than the average across national locations assessed by AreaSearch. Panorama's growth rate exceeded that of its SA3 area (4.4%) and SA4 region, positioning it as a growth leader in the region. Overseas migration contributed approximately 78.8% to overall population gains during recent periods.
AreaSearch uses ABS/Geoscience Australia projections for each SA2 area, released in 2024 with a base year of 2022. For areas not covered by this data and years post-2032, the SA State Government's Regional/LGA projections by age category are adopted, based on 2021 data and adjusted using weighted aggregation from LGA to SA2 levels. Future demographic trends project an above median population growth for statistical areas analyzed by AreaSearch, with Panorama expected to increase by 1,872 persons to reach a total of approximately 10,950 people by the year 2041, marking a 19.6% overall increase over the seventeen-year period.
