This analysis uses ABS Statistical Areas Level 2 (SA2) boundaries, which can materially differ from Suburbs and Localities (SAL) even when sharing similar names.
SA2 boundaries are defined by the Australian Bureau of Statistics and are designed to represent communities for statistical reporting (e.g., census and ERP).
Suburbs and Localities (SAL) represent commonly-used suburb/locality names (postal-style areas) and may use different geographic boundaries. For comprehensive analysis, consider reviewing both boundary types if available.

Population
Panorama has seen population growth performance typically on par with national averages when looking at short and medium term trends
Panorama's population, as of May 2026, is approximately 9,135 people. This figure represents a growth of 660 individuals since the 2021 Census, which reported a population of 8,475. The increase is inferred from ABS estimates: Panorama had an estimated resident population of 9,097 as of June 2025 and gained 69 new addresses validated after the Census date. This results in a population density of 1,591 persons per square kilometer, higher than the average seen across national locations assessed by AreaSearch. Panorama's growth rate of 7.8% since the 2021 census exceeds that of its SA3 area (5.6%) and SA4 region, positioning it as a growth leader in the region. The primary driver for this population growth was overseas migration, contributing approximately 82.9% of overall population gains during recent periods.
AreaSearch uses ABS/Geoscience Australia projections for each SA2 area, released in 2024 with a base year of 2022. For areas not covered by this data and years post-2032, the SA State Government's Regional/LGA projections by age category are adopted, based on 2021 data and adjustments made using weighted aggregation methods from LGA to SA2 levels. Looking ahead, demographic trends project above median population growth for statistical areas analysed by AreaSearch. Panorama is expected to increase by 1,665 persons to reach a total of approximately 10,800 people by 2041, reflecting an overall increase of 17.8% over the 16-year period based on the latest annual ERP population numbers.
